The translational bridge

A cancer research conference built around translation, not only discovery

ImmunoMark Summit is a cancer research conference that sits on the bridge between academic discovery and industry development, which is where a supplier’s product moves from a published method into a funded programme. Most suppliers sell at one end or the other; the bridge is where adoption is decided.

Translational teams decide which assays, models, platforms and data tools carry a programme from the lab into the clinic. They are under pressure to pick methods that will survive regulatory scrutiny and scale into trials, and they buy with both scientific and commercial judgement. Organised by Convolign Business Consulting, ImmunoMark runs two parallel streams, Next-Gen Immuno-Oncology and Biomarkers & Companion Diagnostics, and both are programmed around that hand-off.

55–60%of delegates from biotech and pharma
10–15%from academic and research institutions
5–10%clinicians and clinician-scientists
45–50%senior leadership: heads, directors, executives

That mix is the point. A majority from industry means budgets; a meaningful academic share means the group leaders whose methods industry adopts; and a clinician presence means the people who decide whether a biomarker or assay is usable at the bedside. A supplier who meets all three in two days sees the whole adoption path for its product.

Edition comparison

Choosing your edition: the oncology conference 2027 calendar

ImmunoMark runs as a series. Each edition has the same two streams and the same packages, so a supplier can run one plan in more than one market.

The London agenda puts translation front and centre with a dedicated Day 2 session on bridging academia and industry, and London 2026 drew companies such as GSK, Roche, AstraZeneca and Merck alongside academic groups and UK biotechs. San Diego’s programme follows the full innovation journey, from discovery and translational research through clinical development to commercialisation. Who you will meet

The three groups on the translational path, and what they buy

These profiles come from the edition programmes. Each group buys differently, so plan your meetings and your message for each.

Industry translational teams

Heads and directors of translational medicine, principal scientists and biomarker operations leads at biotech and pharma companies.

  • Validated assays that will hold up in trials
  • Outsourced translational and biomarker work
  • Platforms that scale from discovery to clinical samples

Academic research groups

Principal investigators, group leaders, senior scientists and faculty in tumour immunology, cancer biology, genomics and computational biology.

  • Reagents, models and instruments for discovery
  • Collaborative data and early-access programmes
  • Methods that industry partners will adopt

Clinician-scientists

Translational and clinical biomarker leads, medical oncologists, pathologists and clinical trial investigators.

  • Tests and workflows usable in pathology and trial units
  • Evidence of clinical utility
  • Sample and data handling that fits the clinic

Suppliers already work this way at ImmunoMark. Sponsors at London 2026 described the audience as a combination of people doing fundamental research and clinicians, and research suppliers such as PromoCell, Miltenyi Biotec and Hologic Diagenode took part.

Packages

Which packages fit suppliers to translational cancer research

Packages are the same at every edition, which makes a repeatable plan easy to run in two or three cities. Every tier includes the delegate list with contact details and post-event branding.

Best fit

Gold

A balanced, repeatable package: enough meetings to reach all three buyer groups and a talk slot to present translational data, at a level you can run at more than one edition.

  • 6 pre-scheduled 1:1 meetings
  • 30-minute talk on Day 2, pre-lunch, in your chosen stream
  • 10 x 6 ft booth
  • 6 team passes plus 6 client passes
  • Half-page brochure advertisement

Platinum

For your priority edition, where you want a Day 1 stage and a larger meeting programme.

  • 10 pre-scheduled 1:1 meetings
  • 30-minute Day 1 talk
  • Email to registered attendees and attendee list a week before
  • 8 team passes plus 8 client passes

Exclusive 1:1 Meetings

For a second or third edition where you want targeted conversations without a stand.

  • 3, 5, 7 or 10 meetings of 20 minutes
  • 2–4 delegate passes
  • Drinks reception passes
  • Wishlist and delegate list

Meetings work the same way everywhere: ten days before each edition you receive the full delegate list with profiles and choose who to meet, and a wishlist flags the people you want to reach beyond your allocation. Each edition closes Day 1 with a networking drinks reception.

Building a series plan

Fitting ImmunoMark into your cancer conferences 2027 budget

A large oncology congress gives reach; a focused oncology conference gives conversations. Most suppliers need both, and the question is where to put the conversation budget.

Customers mostly in Europe

Lead with London. Of the oncology conferences UK suppliers can choose, it combines UK academic groups with a 40% continental European share. Research suppliers should read the London page for research suppliers.

Customers on the US West Coast

Lead with the San Diego launch in February, early in the budget year. The San Diego research ecosystem page covers the local buyer groups.

Transatlantic or IO-led

Run Gold in one city and 1:1 meetings in another, then add Boston in June. IO-heavy suppliers should compare themes on the immuno-oncology summit page.

For a view of where cell and gene therapy and their biomarkers are heading, and what that means for translational suppliers, read our advanced therapies biomarker outlook. Whatever mix you choose, plan each edition backwards from the meetings you want, not from the size of the stand.

Frequently asked questions

Which ImmunoMark edition suits a supplier to translational cancer research?

Choose by where your customers are. London (3–4 March 2027) is the 2nd annual edition with a 400+ target, 60% from the UK and Ireland and 40% from the rest of Europe. San Diego (10–11 February 2027) is a launch edition with 300+ senior delegates expected. Boston is a launch edition in June 2027 with 300+ delegates.

How is the audience split between industry and academia?

The prospectus puts 55–60% of delegates in biotech and pharma, 10–15% in academic and research institutions, 5–10% clinicians and about 5% in government, regulatory and industry bodies. By seniority, 45–50% are senior leadership and 20–30% are scientists, principal investigators and technologists.

Are the sponsorship packages the same at every edition?

Yes. Headline, Platinum, Gold, Silver, Exhibitor, Exclusive 1:1 Meetings and the branding packages are offered at every edition with the same inclusions. Every tier includes the delegate list with contact details and post-event branding. Request the prospectus for current availability.

Can we sponsor more than one edition?

Yes. Many suppliers pair a larger package at their priority edition with 1:1 meetings at a second. Because the format and packages are consistent, the same talk, meeting plan and follow-up process can run in each city.

What evidence is there that the format works for suppliers?

At London 2026 the summit drew 300+ delegates from 100+ companies, 70% of them senior decision-makers. The post-show report records 200+ meetings, 15–25 meetings per sponsor and 55+ pre-scheduled 1:1 meetings for title sponsors.
